The Card Concept #21

Hi stampers. Here we are again with a new challege at The Card Concept. Are you ready to get your country on?

Here is my card.

Again, to keep the card CAS and give me lots of white space I stamped the image towards the bottom of the card. I colored the image with Copic markers and added my sentiment.

Here is the challenge:
As always, thanks for stopping by. I hope you can play along with us. I'm ready to see some country flair.

My New Copic Storage

I know I've said it here before, but I'm going to say it again. I have the BEST dad ever! I've been struggling with finding a way to store my Copics. As my collection got larger so did my struggles. I was showing my dad my issue when he was over awhile ago and we came up with this solution.

He made me these amazing storage units that fit right on top of the ink storage units he made me. I know...amazing right? I love having everything right in front of me and easy to get to.

With them being at an angel it's easy to see the colors. He made them so I can make each section the size I need it to be bases on the number of markers I have in that color family. Yep, he's brilliant..and that's why I love him so much:)

Thanks for stopping by.

A Little Autumn Girl

Hi friends. I thought I would stop in really quick and share a card I colored up the other day.  This is one of three images from the Three Little Autumn Girls digital set from All Dress Up.

These images are so fun to color and I just love these great autumn colors. Sorry I didn't write down what Copic colors I used...I know..my bad. I usually do and for some reason I spaced it on this one.

Have a blessed day.

The Card Concept #19

Hi stampers. It's time for a new challenge at The Card Concept. Fall in the air around here and I'm so happy. I love the crispy morning air and all of the beautful colors...oh and football :)

Here is my card.

I don't think I could have gotten anymore CAS than this. I simply stamped my three leaves and added the sentiment. Now if my Christmas card were only this easy...haha.

Here is the challenge:
Thanks for stopping by and I'm looking forward to some beautiful fall colors on your cards.

One Image Two Cards

Happy Friday to all of you. I thought I would pop in and share a couple of cards I made using one of the new Seasons Change images from Saturated Canary. I'm so in love with Krista's new images and the sketchy look she gave them.

Here are my cards:

I wasn't sure if the braid in her hair was supposed to be her hair, or a headband. I opted for the headband and really like it.

I did color up the winter image a couple of days ago...while camping :) but I haven't had a chance to make it into a card yet. Maybe I can get to that today...so watch for it. I usually list my Copic colors used, but I have lost the sticky notes with the colors....so sorry. If I find them I'll update the post.

As always, thanks for taking the time to stop by and have a very Blessed day.

I'll Try That Again

In my last post I showed you a card I made using this technique I found at Sending You A Little Smile. Again, I will say view  her blog at your own risk..haha. So after I did the baby card I thought I would give it another try, but with flowers this time using Countryside Bouquet from Power Poppy. This is a digital image, but they do have rubber stamps as well.

Here is my card:

Again, it's hard to see the layers in this first picture.

Here you can see them better. I found these so much easier to do than the baby. There weren't so many layers on top of layers. There are a couple of flowers that overlap, but for the most part they don't.

Thanks for stopping by.

Blessings,
Deanna Jean

I'll Try That

Okay, so I'm always on the look out for new techniques and ideas to add to my card making. While in Pinterest Land..oh you know, that place that will eat up a couple of hours of your day in no time...I found something I wanted to try so I followed the link to Sending You A Little Smile.  I'll just say view at your own risk. You just may want to give this a try like I did.

Here is my card:

I decided for my first try at this I would use an image that Mariska did so I could pretty much copy what she did. I used Wee One from WeeStamps. Boy am I glad I did that. There is no way I would have figured this out on my own. It's hard to see from this picture, but there is a lot of layers and a lot of fussy cutting going on here.

You can see it better in this picture. Some of the pieces are cut out and then layered on top of the others. Each piece that you cut out is edged with a black marker. Then you use a stylist tool to add a little bit of a bow to each piece. Then using this special glue and a syringe you start to attach the layers. The end result is so amazing. I loved the process, and actually found it kind of relaxing, but I don't think I would do this on a regular bases. It look me just over 4 hours to complete this one card...crazy I know!

Thanks for stopping by.

Deanna Jean

The Card Concept #17

Hi stampers. It's time for a new two week challenge at The Card Concept. This time we have a great photo for you to get your inspiration from.

Here is my card.

I love doing white on white with a bold focal point. I don't think you can get much easier than this.

The challenge:

Being a CAS designer I fell in love with this image. I mean come on...look at all of that beautiful white. Granted there is no way I would ever think of having this much white in my house. I can see the wet dog feet on this already.

Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait to see what all of you create using this inspiration photo.

Blessings,
Deanna Jean

The Card Concept #15

Can you believe it's already time for a new challenge at The Card Concept? For the next two week's we are giving you a super fun color combo to play with. These are a couple of my all time favorites too.

Here is my card:

I started by stamping the flower off to the side. Then I stamped the flower and the leaves on a piece of scrap and cut them out. To give the flower a little extra pop I attached it to the card using my Dots. After attaching the leaves I gently pulled up the edges. Super easy and adds so much to the card.

The challenge:

As always, thanks for stopping by. I hope you can find the time to play along. Remember you have two weeks :)

Blessings,
Deanna Jean
