Hi there blog friends. I hope all of you are having a wonderful start to your week. I got my first WPlus9 stamp set a few days ago and let me just say....I'm in love! There is something about their stamps that makes them so easy to line up on the die. And what a fun set to play with.
Here is my card:
My yellow box didn't turn out like I wanted it to. I was going for a lighter uneven look. To make the box of color I die cut a square and used the negative. I took an ink dobber and inked it up and rubbed it inside the square. Then I added the black line right along the edge and decided it needed more so I added the second one. I attached the flowers with my dots and some foam tape.
The mood board:
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a blessed evening,
Deanna Jean
Supplies:
Stamps: WPlus9 Fresh Cut Florals
Inks: Sorry I didn't write down what inks I used but they are SU!

Best Dad EVER!!
Yep, I have the best dad ever! I was in desperate need of a different way to store my ink pads. I've seen several on the web but none of them would fit where I needed them to go. I showed my dad some pictures of what I needed and BAM...look what I got :)
They are exactly what I wanted. To keep my PTI ink pads from being pushed back in the opening, I cut some fun foam and put it behind them...works great. Now I have all my inks right in front of me and they are so easy to get to...thanks dad..you're the best!
Blessings,
Deanna Jean

Time To Cut Back
If you follow my blog you may have noticed I haven't been around much the last few weeks. After much thought and prayer, I have decided it was time to cut back. I have been on challenge design teams for the past year..at one time 5 at the same time. While I loved creating cards for these amazing challenges, I found that my crafting was starting to feel more like a job, and not a hobby. Every time I sat down to create it was for a challenge deadline. I missed being able to just sit and craft and not worry about what colors or sketch I needed to follow. I will however be on the Fusion team until the end of the month. Thank you all so much for support and kind comments. Not to worry..I will still be making cards and I will still be doing challenges..just as a participant instead :)
I do have a card to share too..not all sad news :) I actually sat down and played the other..just for fun!
Thanks for stopping by and I'll be seeing you all soon.
Blessings,
Deanna Jean

A Wedding Update
Sorry I've been slacking on keeping all of you up to date on my daughter's wedding. We are now under the three month mark..crazy! Everything is coming together really well. My mom and dad have been such a huge help. My dad is a retired cabinet maker and he's been building all of the wood items, and my mom has been doing a lot of the painting. I don't know what we would have done without them. We've spent a lot of time in the yard these past few weeks getting it ready. We planted a bunch of purple petunias and they are beautiful. Here are a few pictures of some of the things we've been working on. As you can tell there is a lot of lace and burlap :)
We decided to skip putting in a garden this year and put flowers in the boxes instead. I planted these three weeks ago. We purchased pre-made hanging baskets and put two in each box. They are about triple the size they were when we planted them. Can you imagine how big these are going to be come August!
I'm not sure what these little flowers are but I love them.
These are the flowers for the girls to wear in their hair as well as the corsages.
This is the super cute cake stand my dad made..love it!
These are some of the boxes for the flowers, also made by my dad.
The super cute cookie jars.
The boutonnieres for the guys made my the bride..she is so proud of them.
We've had so much fun making everything. It's going to be simply gorgeous!

Deanna Jean
