You're The Best Mom

Can you believe Mother's Day is just around the corner. Where does the time go? I have actually made several cards. Each time I would make a new one I would tell myself...this one is for my mom. Then I would make another one and tell myself the same thing. Here is one of the many I made. I will post the one I decided to give to my mom later in the week.

What I love about this card is the sentatment allows it to be used for just about any occasion...not just Mother's Day. I got this fabulous scallop idea from  Michele...thank you! I love how they look. I've been wanting to purchase the larger scallop die from PTI. I'll still keep it on my wish list but for now this works great.

Have a great day!

Make It Monday #12 Line Frame 101

It's time for another PTI Make It Monday. I have done this wonderful technique that I've seen on Nicole's cards before. I really like how something so simple can give your card that finishing touch. Here is what I came up with.

Thanks for coming by.

Happy Easter X2

I am not one to purchase seasonal stamps. So when it came time to make my Easter cards I was having a really hard time. After going through everything I have...several times...I decided to go with my Lily Of The Valley set. I had my list of family and friends I wanted to send them to and I went to work on my 12 cards. This was not an easy task because each of those flowers is handcut. I know crazy, but they looked so good.
I had just finished them when my daughter let me know that her boyfriend's mom wanted 5 Easter cards. So she took a picture of what I had been working on to see if this was what she wanted. The answer was yes and she now wanted 6. This is great...I love selling my cards, more PTI money. The problem was one of these was for her and one was for her mom and I am now 6 cards short.
So back to the drawing board I went. I remembered seeing an egg shape in one of my Cricut cartridges. Here is what I came up with. You know, I kinda like them better then the first card I designed. The first one I made I did white on white. My family told me I needed to add some color so I did. Now I have to decided what cards to send to who.

A Little Scrap Goes A Long Ways

I sat down a few nights ago and went through my scrap paper. Using my PTI dies I cut and cut and cut. Now I have this wonder supply of precut flowers, buttons and leaves. Plus I was able to use up a lot of those small scraps. And trust me, there was nothing left of them when I got done.

So this is one one of the cards I came up using my supply of precut goodies.
I don't normally use orange. In fact, I only had two pieces from my very first Papertrey order (placed over a year ago) from the sample pack. I don't know why...I don't mind orange.
The flowers are attached with foam tape of course. You know I love demention. I also embossed the brown with PTI's Guide Line Grid Impression Plate. It reminds me of lattice so I love using it with flowers.

Good Luck

I made this card last night for a co-worker. She will still be working with me but in a different location across town.

I've always used the Turning A New Leaf set a lot...but now with the matching die I don't even put the set away. It has a new home on my desk. The flowers from both Flower Fusion sets are a perfect size to match up with the New Leaf die. Think of how different you could make this same card by simply changing out the red.

Thanks for stopping by and as always...Happy Kreations.
