More Sympathy

I've been making way too many sympathy cards in the last few months. My co-workers lost her brother last week when I was on vacation.

Here is the card I made for her.

Sorry the pictures aren't very good. I made the card really fast tonight and didn't want to deal with setting up my light box.

Long overdue vacation

The last vacation we took was back in 2006. The last time we went to Disneyland my daughter was in 3rd grade and now she's a sophmore in college. So you can say we were way past due for a vacation. Here are just a few pics of our week long stay. A lot has changed over the years. I finally got up the nerve to do California Sreaming...and I will never do it again. We watched Fantasmic for the first time and loved it. It was so much different going with a teenager. It was nice not having to do all the kid rides. We had a great time but after 6 days we were very tired and ready to go home.

Time to color

There is just something about sitting down and coloring. I find it so relaxing.

For this card I stamped the daffadil and then cut out only half the flower. I stamped the script on another piece of paper then layered the daffadil piece on top.

I stamped the flower a second time and colored and cut out the center. I attached it to the other flower with foam tape.

CAS-ual Fridays #5

 

I'm back with another post today. This time it's for the CAS-ual Fridays #5 challenge. I had to really work to get this one. In the past I have only done color challenges. But I  guess that's why they call them challenges.

 It's hard to see in the pictures but there are little pearls in the middle of the flowers.
