colourQ #104 CASE A Queen

Hello again..wow two posts in one day. That's a first for me. I had to take the day off work so I was able to craft more then I usually would. My sweet dog Jessie got sick last night and just wasn't being herself. I ended up taking her to the vet and after some tests and x-rays they found out she has pancreatic. So she is a very sick little girl and has to spend the next several days at the vet on IV. It's just not the same when she's not here. So while I was waiting around for the vet to call and let me know what was wrong with her I did some crafting to help keep my mind busy.

This weeks challenge over at colourQ is to CASE a card from a previous colourQueen and use this weeks colors. There are some amazing cards to choose from. I decided to CASE card #66. Here is my card.

Here is the beautiful card I CASED made by Laurie. I chose this card because I have always been a huge fan. Her work is always so clean and well put together. She is who I first saw use these great rolled flowers. (Thanks Laurie)

Thanks for stopping by.

Less Is More & Make It Monday #34

Happy Friday to all of you. Today I have a card for you that I made for two challenges...Less Is Mores More and PTI's Make It Monday #34. I love it when I can get two challenges from one card. Below is the scetch for the Less Is More Challenge. For the PTI challenge is to make a thick chipboard accent. Here is my card.

Here is my card. These balloons are so much fun to make. I went through my stamps and found small images then stamped them in VersaMark Ink on the balloons. Yes...the blue one has a spider web on it..haha. I've done these balloons in the past but did 4 layers of card stock to get the thickness. I like the chipboard so much better.

Thanks for stopping by.

CAS-ual Fridays #21

Happy Monday to everyone. I hope you had a fabulous day. I'm back today to post my card for the CAS-ual Fridays #21 challenge. This weeks challenge is to make a card that is mostly monochromatc.

Here is my card. I had the flowers made and was trying to figure out how I wanted to do the leaves. My dear hubby told me to try black. I'm thinking to myself..black..that's going to look really weird. Looks like I was wrong. I love how it turned out.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

PTI September Blog Hop

Has it really been a month already? The 25th always seems to sneak up and me. I didn't even have a card ready for today. I got up this morning and was looking at a few of my favorite blogs and went...oh no...it's the 25th. So I had to stop looking and go create something.

To create my stripes I used my Photo Finish Dies from PTI. Then I stamped an image from my PTI Holiday Photo Finishers stamp set in Veramark ink.

Thanks for stopping by. I'm off to look at more amazing creations. Enjoy your day.

Make It Monday #32

Each Monday I sit and watch the Make It Monday video over at PTI. I tell myself I'm going to create a card...and then before I know it, it's Monday again. Do you ever feel like you life is just wizzing by? I'm mean come on...it's almost October already. Where did the year go? Well I was determined to get a card done for this week. I was up way too late working on it, but I did it..haha.

Here is my card. Well actually this is the 3rd flower I did. I don't know if my paint was old or what, but I had a really hard time. Everytime I stamped the flower half of the paint would stay behind on the stamp. After the 3rd try... I decided I actually liked the look I was getting.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and take a look. I hope you have a great day.

Stripes Color Trends Challenge

Life has been a little busy around here. I was able to spend a little time crafting over the weekend. As much as I love summer I'm ready for the cooler weather. When it's cold and rainy outside I don't feel so bad about spending the day crafting. When it's warm out I feel like I have to be outside working in the yard or washing the car etc. I try to get up early...before the rest of the family so I can get some me time before the busy day starts. My post today is for the Stripes Color Trends Challenge over at Embellish Blog.  The colors for the challenge were red, black, craft and blue....plus stripes. Here is my card.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon,

21 Years & I Still Love Him

Today my husband and I are celebrating 21 years of marriage. It's so hard to believe it's been that long already. He is a true blessing in my life.

Here is the card I made him. I had a really hard time getting the card made because we are in the same room all the time. I kept having to hide it because he kept coming over to see what I was working on.

Thanks  for stopping by and I'll see you soon,

Wedding For A Friend & More

Wow...it's been awhile since my last post. Sorry I've been MIA. I spent a lot of my week long vacation crafting and blogging and just needed a little break. Today I have a couple of things for you. First off some exciting news in beautiful Southern Oregon. Extreme Makeover Home Edition is here! Here is a link. Can you believe it?  They are actually in Medford which is about 30 miles away. I don't know the family but from their story I can say they are very deserving. I might try to get over there this weekend and take a look. If I can, I'll let you know if I see Ty...wink.

Okay on to my card now. One of my co-workers is getting married. My daughter (she works at the same place I do and in the same building as the bride to be) came home with her invitation a few weeks ago. The invitation had a picture of the couple on it and I knew I wanted to use it. The colors on the invitation were grey and light blue so I matched up my colors the best I could. Felt like I was scrapbooking again..haha. I hope she likes it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day.
