Fusion #13

Happy Friday. I'm stopping in with my card for this week's Fusion challenge.

This week's card is very special to me because today just happens to be my parents' 50th wedding anniversay. They have been such an amazing example of true love and have tought me so much about what it takes to have a happy and strong marriage.

Here is the card I made for them:

I stamped the flowers and colored them with my copic markers, then fussy cut them and attached them to the card with my dots.

This will be my last card as part of this amazing design team. I've had such a great time working with these very talented ladies, and being able to bring you a little inspiration each week.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

A Very Happy Birthday & Some Good News

Hi everyone. I'm stopping in today with some really good news and a card I made the other day. First the really good news...I got a job!! If you don't know what happened, I was displaced at the end of April after the bank I worked for merged with another. The job I did was done in another state so I was no longer needed. So, after 17 years with the company I found myself unemployed. I enjoyed my short time off, but I'm ready to get back to work. I will be going back into banking but doing something a little different than before. Okay, enough about work..lets get on to the card.

I can't seem to put this new WPlus9 set down. These flowers are so fun to play with. The other night I sat and die cut a punch of flowers and leaves and stamped them all kinds of fun colors. Now I have a bunch ready to go :)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a blessed evening,
Deanna Jean

Monday Mood Board #14

Hi there blog friends. I hope all of you are having a wonderful start to your week. I got my first WPlus9 stamp set a few days ago and let me just say....I'm in love! There is something about their stamps that makes them so easy to line up on the die. And what a fun set to play with.

Here is my card:

My yellow box didn't turn out like I wanted it to. I was going for a lighter uneven look. To make the box of color I die cut a square and used the negative. I took an ink dobber and inked it up and rubbed it inside the square. Then I added the black line right along the edge and decided it needed more so I added the second one. I attached the flowers with my dots and some foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a blessed evening,

Best Dad EVER!!

Yep, I have the best dad ever! I was in desperate need of a different way to store my ink pads. I've seen several on the web but none of them would fit where I needed them to go. I showed my dad some pictures of what I needed and BAM...look what I got :)

They are exactly what I wanted. To keep my PTI ink pads from being pushed back in the opening, I cut some fun foam and put it behind them...works great. Now I have all my inks right in front of me and they are so easy to get to...thanks dad..you're the best!

Deanna Jean

Time To Cut Back

If you follow my blog you may have noticed I haven't been around much the last few weeks. After much thought and prayer, I have decided it was time to cut back. I have been on challenge design teams for the past year..at one time 5 at the same time. While I loved creating cards for these amazing challenges, I found that my crafting was starting to feel more like a job, and not a hobby. Every time I sat down to create it was for a challenge deadline. I missed being able to just sit and craft and not worry about what colors or sketch I needed to follow. I will however be on the Fusion team until the end of the month. Thank you all so much for support and kind comments. Not to worry..I will still be making cards and I will still be doing challenges..just as a participant instead :)

I do have a card to share too..not all sad news :) I actually sat down and played the other..just for fun!

I love these flowers from PTI. They are so fun to mix and match and layer.
I attached the flower centers with my dots and then bent the leaves up...super cute in person.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll be seeing you all soon.

Blessings,
Deanna Jean
