The Card Concept #4

Can you believe we had 140 entries last week? I loved seeing all of your beautiful creations...and all that pretty pink. For this week's Card Concept challenge the theme is flowers. If you follow my blog or stop by often you know that most of my card are flowers, so this was right up my alley.

Here is my card.

To keep my card CAS I kept my flower arrangement simple. I started by stamping the medium flower in the lighter color. I created a mask and and then stamped the smallest flower. To give the card some dimension, I stamped the largest flower on a separate piece of card stock and fussy cut it. I stamped my leaves where I wanted them and attached the largest flower with my dots.

This week's challenge:
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will join us this week. I'm looking forward to seeing lots of flowers.

Blessings,
Deanna Jean

Color Throwdown Guest Star

Happy Wednesday stampers! I'm so excited to be the Guest Star this week over at Color Throwdown.

Here is my card:

For my card I started by stamping the three flowers in this week's pinks and red. The gray that I have is really dark so I stamped the leaves on a piece of scrap paper first. This allowed me to have the perfect color of gray for my leaves. I added the centers to the flowers using the same gray but without stamping any of the ink off first. To finish off my card I added a piece of Melon Mambo paper along the bottom.

This week's colors:

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Be sure to head over to Color Throwdown for some amazing inspiration.

Blessings,
Deanna Jean

The Card Concept #3

I just have to say...wow! There were 119 cards in last week's challenge. And to think this was only our second one. I can only imagine what future challenges will be like. It's always great to see a new challenge do so well...thanks for the amazing support!

This week we are playing with some monochromatic colors in pink at The Card Concept.

Here is my CAS card:

To create this card I stamped several balloons directly on the card. I then die cut some and attached them with my dots. For the strings and the bows I used a ruler and my Micron 03 pen.To keep the card CAS I left a lot of white space by keeping the balloons to one side of the card.

This week's challenge:
As always, thanks for stopping by. I hope you can join us this week. Remember you have two weeks to play.

Blessings,
Deanna

A Little CTD277 & CTS #62

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! We have a few more hours before kick off...so exciting. I love me some football. The only sad thing is this means it's the end of the season. And it seems like such a long time until next season. My team..the 49ers didn't make it but I still love me some Kaepernick :) Maybe next year guys.

I thought I would stop in with a card I made last night for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch and Color Throwdown challenges.

Here is my card.

I love this week's sketch. Once again I went with the masking technique that I love so much. I didn't have enough of a defined line so I added the two black lines to give it a little extra something. After I stamped the three flowers I came back in with some Copic markers and added a touch of color. It's just enought to give them a little pop...so pretty.

The colors & sketch:

Thanks for taking the time to stop by.
