The Card Concept #9

It's time for a new challenge at The Card Concept. The theme this time is monochromatic purple. I'll confess...I went ugh when I saw this. Purple is not a color I reach for very often. I had to put on my thinking cap for this one.

Here is my card:

Even though I only used two colors, I was still able to keep with my CAS style. Notice that I lined up the line on the sentiment so it went along the bottom of the gift. By finding a creative way to incorporate the sentiment it adds a unique touch.

This week's challenge:
I'm looking forward to seeing lots of purple. Maybe all of you can inspire me to use this color more.

Thanks for stopping by.

Blessings,
Deanna Jean

The Card Concept #8

You know the saying..April showers bring May flowers? Well as much rain as we've been having, we should have more flowers than we know what to do with. I know they always say we need the rain, but I'm ready for the sun. This week's theme at The Card Concept just happens to be umbrellas.

Here is my card:

I wanted to show you that you can still create a CAS card even if you stamp a background pattern. By keeping the pattern to one side of the card this left me my white space. To pull it all together I stamped the same pattern on my umbrella.

This week's challenge:

I hope you can join us this week. I always look forward to seeing your creations.

Deanna Jean

Hugs & Kisses

While out in blog land I found this amazing digi stamp company called Sassy Cheryl's. Oh my gosh....she has got the cutest digital stamps I've seen. I thought I would give one a try and see if I enjoyed coloring it. Well, after spending a few hours playing with the one, I had to back for more. She even has a challenge blog. I created a card to play along with their "Just Foolin Around" challenge.

Practicing My Coloring

Hi friends. I got a chance to do some coloring yesterday and thought I would share the card I made with you.

This is a digital image I found on the internet. I'm not sure where I got it..sorry. Before I started coloring I looked up images of dogwoods to see what color they are. I had no idea they came in so many different colors. I had so much fun coloring this and I think it turned out pretty good.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope the rest of your day is blessed.

The Card Concept #7

We had another amazing challenge the last couple of weeks at The Card Challenge. All of your creations were just amazing. It's time for a new challenge and this time the theme is butterflies.

Here is my card.

To keep my card CAS I selected a trio of colors and simply stamped them across the card. To finish it off I added a large sentiment. How quick and easy is that? Think of all the beautiful color combos you could do.

I sure hope you can join us this week. I always look forward to seeing your beautiful creations.

Blessings,
Deanna Jean
